Is that quite normal or just maybe due to the time of year

I have two CLB called Lucy and Lilly who live with Margo and Babs who are wellsummers!  They are all around 27 weeks old but none have started laying yet.  I have my bets on Lilly being the first as she has the most developed comb and wattles.  But who knows!  Ill just keep checking for those ellusive eggs!  I expect it will be in the early spring now.

My 3 clb crosses started laying at 20 wks, (they waited til I went on holiday and a neighbour was looking after them!), but my other girls were all about 28 wks before they started.

I guess there is no guarantee and it is a case of being patient. I have quite some time to wait as mine are only just over 10 weeks old

yes, I think it really depends on the chicken itself, not its breed so much as to when they lay.  I know some breed do start later, like the heavier breeds, but my Maran began laying at 17 weeks old, and she was still on growers pellets.  She is brilliant and is only just now slowing down laying for the winter- she layed for 16 weeks straight  :)  :)
