If you want little twiggy ones you need to go ahunting in the woods. The garden centres seem to stock canes only.

You can stretch netting between canes for peas to grow up - I've done it when all else failed.

if you go for the semi rigid plastic netting at least you can clean it up at the end of the year and reuse it the following year. The ordinary net is virtually impossible to clean up.

Try to find someone with a buddleia.  When my husband cuts ours back, it produces lots of lovely twiggy sticks which make great pea supports - if I can get the peas to grow!

   If you go to  www.coppice-products.co.uk  Click on our directory ,click the letter that is the first letter of your postcode you will find your local forestor who sells pea and bean sticks . Hazel bean sticks  are 50p each ,Hazel pea sticks 10 for£2.
