Why on earth is dissolvable Miracle-Gro bright blue?

It stains hands, clothes and leaves a right mess everywhere!

I have often wondered that, so I complete concur with that.  I think you should ask the manufacturers, and see what rubbish they come out with.  Go on, do it, do it.   :D  Mrs Bouquet

Why do the 3 temperature choices on my slow cooker equate to High - quite hot, but never boiling;
Low - barely warm much the same as the Keep Warm setting.
Something in between would be nice  *sigh*

Why on earth is dissolvable Miracle-Gro bright blue?

I stopped using it a couple of years ago for that very reason Growster - for the life of me I can't think of a rational answer (Phostrogen seem to get by OK with their pallid off-white version!  ;))

Why is it that no matter how much you spend on an electric toaster (and what the reviews say), your toast will always be browner on one side than the other, usually requiring turning and a short burst on 'manual' to even it up?
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Why do my next door neighbours  have to shout to each other when standing next to each other and would it be rude if i asked them to change the children names as im sick of them being bellowed down the garden .

A possible answer..
"Miracle-Gro and other soluble fertilizers are colored so that you can
tell that a solution is fertlizer water and not plain water.  Many
growers use injection systems or proportioners that take up a
concentrated stock solution of fertilizer from a bucket or tank and
add it in a fixed proportion (so many parts per million) to an
automatic watering system.  If the grower sees pale blue water coming
out of his irrigation tubing, he knows the system is working. Periodic
testing of the output ensures that the proportioner is callibrated
correctly.  Likewise, a home gardener can see that the bluish stuff in
the jug is water with plant food and not drinking water or water for
the steam iron."

… and here's me thinking it was due to copper sulphate - ha!
My questions are:-
1) Why does green soap have white bubbles? This is a genuine question from a youngster which has always stayed in my mind.
2) Why do unexpected visitors always come when everywhere is in a total mess?
3) Why is it that a particular item you've seen about for ages suddenly disappears just when you want it?
4) Why are the majority of Sunday evenings always sunny?
5) Why are there major road and rail works done at the busiest times of the year?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

GG - I think the answers to most of your questions are covered in a law discovered by a certain Mr Sod, and subsequently named after him.
I believe this to be the law when a) I drop something covered with butter and it always lands butter side down.
b) I arrive at the bus stop almost five minutes early, only to see the very bus that I want sailing off into the sunset.
c) If I drop something breakable it is never onto the carpet, but always onto the hard kitchen tiles......

and so on.
