I have planted out a few different nursery bought variety of strawberrys in the garden which are all doing well  except one that has started to wilt with stunted growth. Having inspected the roots for any pest like vine weevil I found nothing. I have planted it in a pot of grow bag compost for now in the greenhouse but I am stumped as to what can be wrong. Any ideas folks ?

of the hundreds I have transplanted this year I have had a few that just withered and died, generally I think that maybe they got too dry while in transport, or after planting, maybe they just didnt have enough root, I just accepted it as acceptable losses for the transplant, some of the worst culprits were the cheapo pound shop and wilkinsons buys, that just came as dessicated root, some of these just never took, if you have them in pots or baskets I would add some watering gel/crystals, then just make sure they dont get too dry I guess.

Thanks. I will give it some seaweed and nettle feed to help the roots.

I have moved hundreds too this year and only three I was about to write off and low and behold they had lovely new shoots when I looked, mine seem to have needed constant watering this year, almost twice a day which I am sure I don't do usually. They have been extremely thirsty, so now I let Florence water them as she drowns most things and they look happy as larry
