We lost Lula yesterday our ex-free range girl, we had her for just over 2 years, she was a very cheeky girl, who definately made the most of her retirement, this time last year she even went broody, she had 2 areas where she was stashing her eggs in a bush and under another! In the last 7 months she has had 3 newbies to keep in line, she will be missed but what a retirement

Oh sad for you but as you say, Lulu had a great retirement and it sound like she made the very most of it    Cage to free-ranging in a loving home - she must have not believed her luck
