got a tray of broad beans springing into life on a spare windowsill at home.
They're about 3-4" tall now but look like their leaves are being scorched - black and curled round the edges.

Any ideas?

I would say the cold , but is it a dark chocolate colour ?

on closer inspection - yes it is dark brown and it is on the leaves closte to the window

You may have hit the nail on the head with you first post - scorched!

Yes, most likely sun burnt through the window glass.

Harden them off and plant out, they are very cold tolerant plants.
