Raspberry runners
« on: April 27, 2010, 20:20 »
Hi All

Don't come to this site very often - tend to be on the chicken bit :D

I have 2 rows of raspberries and I have noticed that there are a few runners appearing.  They are only an inch or 2 in size.

What I want to know is when can I move them and incorporate them into my existing rows?

Thanks in anticipation

Nichola

Nichola, they are already part of your existing rows. They are suckers coming off the established plants. Cut them off the main plant with a bit of root and replant in the rows. :D

Thanks DavidT

I realised that that's what they were, I was unsure if there was a good time of year to move them or if they were abit small yet.

Thanks for your reply :D

If you are wary about the size,  leave them for a couple of weeks. Or cut them off and pot them up. :D
