Any info greatly apprecieated.
« on: May 15, 2010, 17:59 »
Hi.
Ive just recently got my first allotment and cant wait to get stuck in, but theres just one small problem I've got.
I  started to dig my plot over and within 1 square metre I must have pulled out 20 house bricks, on futher inspection it seems like half the plot has been used a dump-it site for a builder.Ive spoken to other plot holders and they say that is just what a previous owner did.
I was just wondering where the council stand on this, are they supposed to provide land that is usable for growing (which mine isn't) or is it just you get what you got?
Any info would be greatfully recieved.

 Cheers.

I dont know, I would give them a call and see if they can help but to be honest its probably you get what you get kind of thing. You could find use for the bricks and any other rubble, maybe a path, brick bbq?
