I'm told that after drinking all your sloe gin, you keep the used sloe berries in the bottle and top up with cider and leave again for 6-8 weeks.
Is this true, and if anyone has tried it, is it any good?

I have heard people doing that with sherry, but give it a go with the cider, might be nice

I made some a few years ago with some strong cider (8%) and the result was quite drinkable.
It tastes very much like Kriek (sp?) the belgian cherry beer.

Superb. I use to make cider but not using cider apples the cider was both 4% and very poor flavour. I then added to the used sloes starting fermantation off again. This happens because of the sugar on the sloes. Result superb.
