Halloween pumpkins!

Finished carving our three from the plot ready for tomorrow night, nipper is very pleased with our big lanterns (he openly mocked the puny offerings at a local supermarket).

Only downside was humping nearly 25kg of pumpkin innards down to the compost heap this afternoon...

A good amount of the flesh made some good pumpkin pie, but there was loads of that stringy stuff that needed disposing....
At least taking the waste away wasn't as bad as the day I carried the large pumpkin home on foot :(
