Looks good Judd.

Any spaces big enough for a rat to get in i.e. air gap on roofing would benefit from some weldmesh to keep them out.  Not sure how you would attach it apart from maybe some battons around the walls where there isn't already wood.  Sure other members will give you some sound advice.

A pop hole in the bottom door would be a good idea so that in bad weather they can shelter inside.  A blind or something to cover the window is a good idea so they will settle when you lock them away on light nights.

Some cover for them in the run, an old table is ideal.  Also some shelter from the wind would be good.  A roosting ladder would be good as all the night time poo falls through the gaps.  If you attach to the wall with hinges you can lift it up to clean underneath.  Nest boxes would be good under the window as that will be the darkest place for them to lay in peace.

Make sure there is no cement powder left in the enclosure before you put your hens in.  Will keep an eye on your progress, you are doing a great job.   :)

Thanks An :D
I intend putting a flap hole in the door I just haven't had time yet. I'll fill in the roof gaps, that should be no problem and put up some kind of blind/shutter on the window.
As you can see the run isn't even up yet but when it is I'll sort out some kind of cover for them in it.
Nest boxes under the window and a roosting ladder, will do
Thanks for the advice and I'll keep you posted on my progress

If you fill in the roof gaps you will need another form of ventilation for them.

If you are not getting too many hens you could section an area off for storing all the chicken paraphernalia you need.  Including a shelf to keep their feeders and drinkers on a night.   :)

This is where my girls live - it's about 90 sqfeet

I have a door that lifts out that I put in at night so the girls can come out of the coop when ever they want & are safe on slabs until I go let them out in the morning. It also has a roof over the top of the slabs & will probably cover the rest later.

This picture is inside the run I use as the hospital run & keep open if no one is in there :D
My 2 new girls are keeping out of the way in here at the moment

Two things strike me looking at the photos of lovely coops and runs. The first is that a lot of them are as big as our whole garden! Feeling our's are a bit hard done by. :(

The other is that the fences on some are quite low. We have nearly seven foot fencing/gate on the drive where they will spend most of their time and six foot around the garden. I must admit when we were looking at requirements the height of fencing needed didn't really seem to come up. Will a six foot fence keep my hybrids in or will we need to clip flight feathers?
