my new hens

Can anyone tell me why my point of lay Black Rock cross hens, Hen and Rieta are not laying any eggs yet? My 2 arrived with 6 others who went to a farm. The other 6 are all laying now and have been for about 2 weeks. Mine are in an Ark and they have been eating well and I've fed them worms and cherry tomatoes occasionally. Help please? If I let them out during the day will they run away? My garden is enclosed by stock fencing but there are gaps in it. I have about 3/4 acre.

Hi Angela, our goat run where we kept out last chickens is enclosed by stock fencing, but the little b*****s got through some of the holes, and dug under other parts of the fence. One even got onto the external nest boxes and over the top.

It was a bit like watching the film chicken run!!! lol So don't trust em!!!!
