Okay then (blush)

My 4 year old daughter got 3rd place for her purple beans, then we got

First for peas
First for beans
First for shallots (first time growing and showing)
Second for collection of 4 veg in basket.

Lets see if i can do a picture........

Aww shucks, thanks very much everyone.  :D

It is a fairly big agricultural show, our county one and i've been entering veg, just for the fun of it for the last 4 years i think. It's my third year winning the peas, so now i feel like i'm having to defend my title!

The standard of entries vary quite a bit, but there were some heavyweights there this year, people who specifically grow 'exhibition' veg, I just use the best of whatever i have, and present it very carefully.

The past two years the prize money has covered my seed and compost for the following year. So it pays for my familys veg and its a great day out.
