Small sheds - where to buy?
« on: July 20, 2007, 19:58 »
I have surfed the net for small sheds but the smallest I can find is 6ft x 4ft- the next thing down tends to be small lean-tos.  On my lotty, there are a number of smaller sheds but I cant seem to find any - can you help?

I like the one with the bikes in it but probably will go for something bigger.  I'd ike one that is bigg enough for a few tools to be kept in, secure enough to do this too!  And also without a window (though I could always board that up) partly for security but also to allow for potties for small people to be used in private.

Done some extensive research there petite graine!

thought about it but dismissed it as my diy skills while brilliant for the average british middle aged female don't stretch to truly accurate measuring and angles!  Plus I have a habit of making it up as I go along!  And I'm basically lazy.  am hoping any plot I eventually do get will come with a ready made shed like the garden did!

I thought of it as well as I am not too bad at DIY, but having no spare material, it seems too much bother and too expensive to make it myself, considering I can have one already made for between £100 and £150

B&Q sell small sheds, but they also sell damaged sheds very cheap, i got a 8'x6' shed last year, full price £350 but my wife spotted damaged ones from £35, after looking at them i reckoned i coul fix the one i wanted for around £20 and one hours work. So i paid the money plus £20 delivery and it was delivered the next day.OOPS they delivered the wrong one, hang on i thought the delivery number and receipt number match up,o.k. i'm happy with that, sign for it and the driver goes away. Now i have a £400+ shed for the sum of £55............Result. .
I would have been very happy with the damaged shed (but i aint one for looking a gift horse in the mouth) so try looking for damaged stock you will hopefully find what you need at a reduced price.

Flipping heck - that is a lot of sheds!  But THANK YOU  :D  for the reply and sorry for not getting back here until now - I have an 8 week old baby so you can imagine the state of my 'schedule' at the moment.  Much reflected in the shabby state of my lottie too I am afraid

I am intrigued about the damaged sheds in B&Q - if I kick the krap out of a display shed will they sell it as damaged???    Of course I would never do that.

Thanks again.

I am glad you finally saw it

I think I found the one I want for size and price !

This one, from Focus,
1.54 x 1.83 x 0.85m (HWD) £99 !!!

But, stupid question coming   , does "garden wall store" means that you need a wall to put it against  :?:

Apart from this, the only problem is that it is sold in store only. I have to see if it is in stock and if it fits in the car !

Welcome to the new baby  :D

B&Q are selling their 6x4s for £50 at the moment
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
