edible flowers
« on: January 23, 2007, 21:22 »
Although this section is related to non edible plants iare you aware that many are such as courgette , violas and hibiscus. Re the latter we were entertained
to lunch by one of the directors of the botanical garden in Havana Cuba and we were advised to have the speciality ...a plate of mukticoloured hibiscus flowers with a delicate dressing!! Here in Spain boxes of organically grown violas flowers are sold in speciality vegetable shops. When we have time we enjoy making chocolates with rosemary and sage flowers soaked in brandy as the centres. Any other ideas??
