« on: May 14, 2009, 17:18 »
Haven't been on in ages but hi to all who remember me!

I'm based in Colchester Essex and I need to rehome my 3 ex-batts :(

Is there anyone near by that could take them?

Thanks

Hmm. How old are they and will they come with a chicken house? I've just commited myself and my spare house to some ex batts of my own. Could possibly help if you're desperate but only if you're able to let their house come with them.

I'd be willing to let them go with their house - of course!  I'll be very happy for you to have them espically as you're a seasoned chook owner.

I'll pm you with my contact details

Hi Wildy!  nice to see you again.  I'm sorry you are having to re-home your girls.  Hope Rubellite can have them, but if not, we had a new girl Tina Cooke on here from Colchester looking for birds, don't know if she would be interested!

Another happy ending and reason to love this forum!

Hope things settle down for you Wildone and look after yourself.

When I did my last circuit of the field after dinner Mrs Bennett and (the lighter coloured one and the two tone one, Wildone I've got them all sorted but can't remember the names of the other two-sorry) were all in the corner of the shed tucked up together. :(
I brought them out and put them into the nestboxes and said "night, night".
Carried on around the field with the dogs , stopped off to put my girlies to bed and then had a last check on Mrs B & co. They were where I'd put them and looking much more comfortable :)
What is your little girl's name? (I'll forget that too, but if it's written down, I can refer  ;))
Tell her that they are fine and she can come to see them whenever she wants to as I'm sure they'll be missing her cuddles

You are very welcome Trina!  In fact if you hadn't got sorted, we are coming to Danbury on 4th June and I said to my Brian, perhaps we could drop you a couple of hens off at Colchester on the way through? but we have to be in danbury for 9.30am, so it would have been early!!!   :) :)
