Our vet pal says she's only come across it once and to be 100% requires a lot of tests, which she would recommend as it would further stress him. But if he's not dazed or bothered by the 'episodes' (apparently the correct term as they aren't fits) then he's not in pain or suffering damage as he would with epilepsy.

Found a pack of cooked chicken pieces (with a reduced to 19p label) in the freezer... it was going to make chicken and sweetcorn Chinese soup but it is better employed re-building his trust.

I'm really happy to say he seems perfectly happy - hasn't had a fit this year

I think he was a bit off-colour and that was a big factor. He's even willing to be in the same room as us again.
