I'm about to harvest my second Kohl rabi (the first was split and ended up in a veg curry so didn't get to taste it properly) I would like to do something that brings out the taste but is fairly simple. I am not the best cook. Have never grown or tasted this veg before so any suggestions gratefully received.

Kohl rabi tastes like cabbage (and broccoli) stalks. Makes a nice 'cole slaw'. Grate the KR and add finely chopped onion and some grated carrot. Mix all with some Hellman's mayo (or homemade if you have some). You can also add some peanuts if you like, or some browned pine nuts.
Keep the plot cultivated, that's the best way to ensure its future.

I got a kohlrabi in my veg box a few weeks ago and thought it was an alien offspring!  Anyway, check out this recipe, I made it and thought it was quite good...

PS Congrats for growing your own!  Quite a beast, aren't they?  I've sown some a couple of weeks back, don't know if I'll get anywhere with it though..

Sounds great, will have to wait for the next Kohl Rabi to be big enough to harvest.
