I am new to having chickens,  I have three at the moment.  My sister works for the RSPCA and has a chicken and duck that have got very attached to each other, she has asked me if I would like to have them.  I am a bit worrie about the duck being picked on, its a mallard duck, which will want to go back into the wild at some time. Both the chicken and duck are very young, about seven weeks old.

Should my sister keep them untill the duck is ready to go, or should I risk having them.  At the moment the duck follows the chicken everywhere and panics when the chicken wonders too far.
