Doctor Ruppel clematis
« on: December 27, 2018, 12:21 »
Good morning everyone  ;), wishing you all a belated Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
I must admit I usually visit the Grow Your Own Forum for help but I need help with a
Doctor Ruppel clematis which we have growing up the front corner of our shed, we bought
it in the spring of 2017 & planted it in a 15" x15" round tub because the shed is surrounded
by concrete. The 1st year it grew all the way up the front corner & half way to the point of
the roof & flowered lovely. The info on the label said to cut away any dead during winter
months which I did leaving it half way up & thinned out. This year it grew back even taller
& flowered niceley again but there is hardly any greenery left on it so my question is will
it be ok to cut it back to soil level & at the same time re-pot it into a slightly larger pot ?
I look forward to any suggestions.
Keith.   ;)
