When do you plan on moving them?  I need to do the same but don't want to stress them out by moving them in the autumn.  Or is autumn the best time to do this job.

If I cant remember how old my plants are   I am guessing its best to replace them all.

I don't have a greenhouse; Do I keep the new runners in the ground or pot them up??

SAMURIA: Best buying new plants in early spring but if you already have runners potted up in the greenhouse, they should be ok to plant out in Spring.

YORKSHIRE LASS: If those runners have taken root leave them where they are and move them in Spring. If not leave them attached to the parent plant and peg the runner down to encourage rooting. Might be a bit late now but it is still quite mild so you never know.

In any case avoid planting them where tomatoes or potatoes have been in the last year or two as they may get verticulum wilt.

Ive had good successes with Lidl’s strawberry plants ,I think they were £2.99 for 6 plants, only thing is they seem to have them a bit late for planting & fruiting in the year, I had to keep picking the flowers off to let them get their roots well established.
