Have my Stars Re-alined ?
« on: September 06, 2018, 19:32 »
Today has taken a turn.   Firstly I have won £100 today on the P.Bonds.
Went into Town and TKMaxx, bought a fabulous merino wool cardi, and a rollneck jumper.
Did a few other successful bits, came home.
I thought I must have another try to find a Velux Window man to replace ours.
The first one said he would come immediately, and he did all 6ft7ins of him, he was gorgeous. It got better -as we looked out of the window, I asked him what wouldbe joining the x bars to the uprights.   He said he'd have a look.   He just wiggled all the posts and lifted them out of the ground.   I'll take them away for you, he said, and put them in a work skip.   I was totally overwhelmed by such a kind gesture.
Then the second company rang and said they look at it next week.
Mother's old grass-cutter came round and cut the lawns, and cleared it all.  As he promised.  I went to pay him,  £20, he said.  The other bloke was charging me £25 just to do the front. !!
I don't know what to say, I am actually choked up, lost for words (nearly)   :D :D  Mrs Bouquet

Things like this just don't happen to me,  I am totally, total. Don't know what to say.  :D :D

Aww, it's lovely when nice things unexpectedly happen, isn't it?!  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

funny old world - if I were to metaphorically rub my hands about the prospect of getting some gorgeous gal to remove her breeks (so I could iron them, naturally) I would without doubt be accused of being a naughty old hamster and no doubt tarred with the brush of misogyny!

And yet it appears from the above posts that the Mrs B / Goosey / MC etc version of a 'diet coke break' is acceptable and worthy only of further feminine versions of "phwoar"....  with no masculine squeals about misandry!

(Personally I think both are perfickly OK and simply part of the natural order, or were until the professional thought police started trying to criminalise us all!)

But it is nice that Ernie has tickled a few of you this month. Mrs B's windows chappie made the day a little brighter etc.   Hurrah for good things.
