I know it doesnt seem seasonal, but I filled the slow cooker yesterday morning with a turkey casserole, added a few small potatoes (the end of a sack) at lunchtime - and was soooooooooo glad it was all done by the time we got back from the plot, sorted and showered and starving.

Tonight we are going to dare the thunderstorms and light the barbi ...

Left over lamb with 1/2 jar of rogan josh paste for a change. Not really hot enough for me but hubby tolerates it. Not tried it with cooked meat before.

Yesterday, I prepped lots of peppers, red onion, courgette, and green beans, and a tin of drained new potatoes cut up, and chunks of red onion, added some chlli flakes, a sprinkle of ginger and smoked paprika, and a dessert-spoon of tomato puree.  Chucked  it all in a large roasting pan, and had some with a small quiche.
Today, been invited to a small bbq, so will take the rest of the Mediterranean veg and have made a rice dish, with red, yellow peppers, cooked small peas, sweetcorn and finely chopped red onion.  So those will be my offerings later today.  Enjoy whatever you have.  Mrs Bouquet

A whole, "home grown" meal, as the eggs came from our daughter's hens: Frittata with roasted radishes, new potatoes, spring onions and courgette in it, red lettuce, rocket, beetroot & mangetout salad,  followed by strawberries

Family meals this weekend, yesterday I cooked pork strips in barbecue sauce, honey mustard sausages, cheese and onion quiche, with roasted Mediterranean veg and wedges. Chocolate Orange torte for pud.

Tonight grilled lamb steaks, coleslaw salad and some new potatoes (bought ones still  :( ) The rest of the torte and/or ice creams  :D

Got to do some clearing  of the fridge - it is a bit chaotic in there.  So I think it will be mushroom risotto with the turkey stock that is lurking .....  That will certainly make a good start.

Last night was pasta in sorrel sauce with the last of the ham chopped and mixed in.

Tonight I am going to roast some fancy venison and red onion sausages with potatoes, squash, onion and parsnip (freezer).  Spoon standing onion gravy to go with.

Tray bake here as well with potatoes, onions and tomatoes, but mine had chickpeas and carrots, then mackerel fillets added for the last 20 minutes and was served with a herby yogurt sauce.

Stir-fried veg and noodles with Japanese style quick braised pork steak.  Basically you brown it then braise for a few minutes in a mix of sugar, sake, miso, soy sauce and oyster sauce.

Got the bbq out and raided the freezer - gammon pieces, Merguez style sausages, veg kebabs and pittas.  Lovely.  Tired now after a busy day outside ...
