Title: my new polytunnel
Post by: Green man on March 10, 2014, 12:09
My dear wife ordered me a new Polly tunnel this morning, which I,m hoping I'll be getting by the end of the week.
She told me it was 3m by 2m or it could be a bit bigger.
I've seen the ones on our allotments and they are huge they take up half of the plot on some but the amount that they. Get out of them must be great.

What to grow for the first time that I've had no luck with is Mellon could that be a small goal to aim at. Or go for cues and Tom's.I would like to know. Thanks

Tomatoes of different varieties should be your 'bankers' as someone new to PT's or GH's, sweet and chilli peppers should certainly do better than outside - I don't think melons are particularly easy although I did quite well with "Sweetheart" in my first year with the GH (do a forum search for it for a few threads and pics.)

As for cukes - I'm taking the 5th amendment, although some people find them easy, as of course I will this year!   ;)

Make sure you've got plenty of water for cues and toms.
