Took these two snaps of our Dolly. I think it's an odd time to go into moult. My eye can't pick up as much detail as the camera can, so, if anyone else wondered what it looks like, but, like me has slow eyes, here you go.

Chooks tend to moult in the autumn and it has been exceptionally mild

Our's have moulted at different times, first the shumens, then the backyard which looked oven ready for a few days, now the ex-batts are looking a bit scruffy. They are all loking better, the shumens look good again, the backyard are getting bright new feathers and the backyard are still laying and starting to look a bit tidier. I am finding it quite interesting that the different breeds moult together.
