We need some (overnight!) rain

We got some - lots and lots of it in fact.  It was hammering down so hard it woke me a couple of times.  Pretty grey and drippy out there at the moment, but I'm sure the plot and garden loved it

Well, it's raining at last but not very convincingly (3mm so far.)

Looking at the rain radar I'm not at all sure we're going to get the deluge forecast for today.

Grey here and everything is wet from last night's downpour. Surprisingly warm @ 18C considering there is no sun.  I might even be able to dig up the remaining parsnips soon, with the rain, hopefully, softening the concrete soil

The overnight 'low' was 15C   So warn and sunny from early this morning 24C now, but 39C in the greenhouse

[Plot 1 Problems]

Tipped it down again this morning but now it's very hot and sunny.

Couple of cracking storms overnight, I got up to watch the 2nd one  and although everything had a soaking some plants are still wilting in the heat 27C now

We've had a couple of drops of rain despite thunderstorms and rain being forecast since yesterday. We now have an amber warning.  Hurry up, rain!

I'd only been in bed half an hour when it all 'kicked off'  sheet lightening  and pouring rain.  Going on the interference on Sky this evening we are in for something similar.

Fantastic storm here in the early hours of the morning with a reall good downpour. Very warm & muggy today with some sunshine. Rumbles of thunder started off about 3p.m. Followed by more rain & then some lightening.

Met office clearly couldn't make up their minds - no rain in the forecast but a yellow warning for storms just to cover their nervous behinds! 

Not actually had a drop of rain here, either yesterday or overnight.

We completely dodged the storms yesterday despite them being forecast for all day and night, with weather warnings.  There was cloud at times, but never enough to do anything. 

Its a bit grey this morning but still very warm and humid.

Another storm dodger here! Had the odd distant rumble of thunder but that was it.
Very muggy, grey and warm this morning, my idea of hell.

Bone dry, lawns are browning. Sunny, breezy and a bit cooler than of late. We need some of the downpours that you are getting further south

Its been roasting here today - yesterday's threatened thunderstorm didn't thunder and hardly filled a teacup!
The night temps are way up too - currently 15ºC

Another night of thunderstorms so everything sodden here, grey, calm and 16C - perfect weather for blight and weeds
