Howard Bantam

Help Have bought a Howard Bantam with a villiers 2 stroke engine, have removed fly wheel and checked coil its seems fine,points are worn out,so ordered new ones plus a condenser.
How do I set the points with this model 24c?
It is also missing its felt pad can these be obtained?
Would dearly love to use this machine as soon as possible.

hi to check points turn piston to top dead center points should open just as the piston reaches the top  also check if theres any timing arrows on the flywheel and crank casethese need to be lined up if there are any,Try a company called meetens for spares they specialize in older engine parts  jezza

Thanks jezza Contacted Villeirs uk and a man called George Shead was very good its going now it turned out to be a swollen fuel pipe that was not allowing enough fuel through.
Have put the meetens firm down as a source for spares.
