If you are watering every day I think you might be over- watering to be honest. I am not far from you and I have been giving my outdoor crops a good soaking twice a week. Things in the polytunnel get more. The other explanation is a nitrogen deficiency, but my bet is over - watering.

Thanks for your response how do I fix a nitrogen deficiency?? Thanks

Sweetcorn can go pale and sickly when temperatures are too low, including at night, but as you say that's unlikely given the recent weather round these parts.
A liquid feed may well revive them - most if not all of the general purpose liquid feeds are high in nitrogen.
As AnneB says, don't overdo the watering - her suggestion sounds about right to me unless your soil is particularly free-draining and/or the weather especially hot.

Yep I’d agree with too much water. My transplants get thoroughly watered in, then leave 2 days, water again & after that it depends on how hot it is, size of leaf/plant etc. I try to encourage the plants to put down good roots to find their own water. In my opinion no good comes of little & often in watering.

Thanks guys I'll go to the garden centre and see what I can find. X

I started mine in root trainers and all was well till I put them outdoors to harden off. after a bit they started looking yellow and sickly until I realised they were still in a seed tray without drainage !! They don't like being too wet !!
They are doing well now planted out and not watered more then every other day
