Crop Rotation
« on: June 06, 2008, 22:24 »
Hi

We are planning a 4 bed rotation system - but thinking ahead for next year we have been told that it is not necessary to rotate runner beans.  Is this true?  Where they are in the garden is a fantastic spot and the wigwams fit perfectly so if no need to move then that would be great - any advice appreciated

Thanks

I rotate my beans, but it isn't necessary.  If you've got a nice spot, just make sure they get plenty of nice rotted manure dug in during the autumn ready for the next season's beans!

our plan for rotation is , ABOVE THE GROUND ONE YEAR , BELOW THE GROUD NEXT ,  beans and peas stay where they are , but make sure you dig in plenty of manure october time
