You know how one thing leads to another?  Well, I need to bake a couple of quiches, so while I am making pastry, it's pie tonight!  Beef pie using the last of a beef cass as filling.  Steamed pots and veg tbd from the plot to go with.

It would, it would!!   :D

So back to one thing leading to another ...  the quiches were spinach, aka chard ....  Which means there are chard stalks in the fridge along with an oversize courgette.  Sounds like the beginnings of a veg korma ... There is also a little leftover pork and some tomato juice.  So I think veg korma, pork madras and rice for tonight will do us nicely.  Pappadums if I have time on the side.  Frugal or what.   ;)

Makes mental note to check the Co-op out on the way home  ;)

Chicken thighs in a spicy tomato and chickpea sauce, both out of the freezer.

Probably with rice and the sauce will have a few extra plot veg chucked it  :)

Taken from the freezer a dish labelled shin beef, normally I label 1 or 2 portions but not this time so it was going to be a hurt your eyes stew( looking for the meat) but going on the sunny day it has become could be a pie since I'm going to use some gifted apples up in some batch baking of pies after I've made some chutney!

I visited my horribly weedy plot yesterday but came up trumps veg and fruit wise. I made a lovely dinner with smoked haddock, new potatoes, calabrese, onion, Sunburst courgette and carrots. Apple and blackberry crumble f'rafters 😋

Got bit to death 😩

Yup - the bitey things are luving this weather!   ::)  Thank the Lord for antihistamine.

A bargain pack of venison sausage from the butchers ... and some sad mushies = venison (sausage) bourguignon, with couscous and whatever veggies I have to stir through, as the plan for tonight.
