Not of dire importance I know but... I pop into her coop to chamber maid every morning and she hovers around the door making the stangest semi rosey noise (it sounds happy).  She is then sitting on the ground or squatting wating to be picked up when I come out.......what is this all about?

She's happy to see you and is talking to you. The squatting is because she sees you as a cockerel and is offering herself to you.

Shameless hussy springs to mind Mine stopped doing that for me when we got a cockerel, I guess I just wasn't as attractive as he is.

My girls are right tarts then i only have to let them out in the morning and they do it!!

Yes only one and she's fine - there are lots of pro's with one.
I just love that chirpy noise - thought it might be I'm in her 'house' so she's saying 'make yourself at home'......
