my first ever show and I have some garlic,  Lautrec Wight and Elephant as 2 sorts in 'any other veg' section - which I thought I'd enter.  how do I trim them and show them?  thanks

As nobody has answered your query I looked up garlic in the invaluable RHS Show Handbook.
Merits
Well shaped, solid, clean, well ripened bulbs with thin necks, with dried stem of approximately 25mm.
