Garden shredders, quick Q
« on: January 17, 2011, 09:33 »
I have a mid-range garden shredder, which I'm just starting to use.

I was just wondering if I can shred things like yew clippings (I have a rather overgrown hedge to get into shape this year), or should I stick to woody clippings?

Thanks

The question is why would you want to shred yew clippings , they will not make good compost.

I should think that yew mulch will fit the bill nicely for 'not growing stuff'.  :)

If there is not too much soft new growth it should shred ok.
