well I had 1 small caulli at the weekend and it was lush... shame the other 50 million are rubbish.... I hate learning all this new stuff, I want to get it right 1st time and NOW dammit :)

I know how you feel SG.  We had 2 the other week the size of grapefruits, 1 tennis balled size, and there are 2 in the polytunnel that are also tennis ball sized, but OH noticed yesterday that there is one in the poly that actually looks like a caulflower and not a bonsai version!!!!

And aren't they lovely?  melt in the mouth or what!

Glad you have some caulis! Our neighbour had 6 beauties, abut the size of a large grapefruit. She had not seen S for a few weeks so she broke the leaves over the curds, like it says in the book, and phoned her to tell her the caulis were lovely. No reply.

She pondered whether to pick them, but as her caulis have the most fantastic leaves and curds the size of a small marble, she just watched as the beautiful curds became brown sticks. Now what does that tell you?

i have never grown a good cauli they die or explode .they seem to burst over night ,one day they look half decent and the next day it goes mad and bursts open usually on a sunday morning just has i'm about to pick it for dinner :(
