most of these plants were in the middle of a really overgrown hedge when i moved in last summer, i cut all that down , the top two photos show plants i've also moved so they're not too happy at the moment...

I`ll have a stab, though the pics aren`t too clear. 1/ Photinia Red Robin, 2/ Lilac or Forsythia, 3/ Camelia, 4/ Viburnum tinus, 5/ Maple. 6/ Beech and 7/ Rhus. The only one I`m definite about is number 1.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Got OH to look at pics as he is "parks and gardens" here! He agrees with the first one, photinia, second one too blurry to tell, third one definitely not a camellia, but can't tell what it is. Ooooo eck, have lost track now. Erm, beech was right, another pic was definitely of an acer of some kind but may not be a maple and another definitely a viburnum (and not davidii as we have that one and the leaves are much larger). Couldn't say what the last one was, although he did say it might be the bamboo plant which isn't really a bamboo!

Well that's no help at all really is it?  ::)

Chris, Acer IS Maple.

There are lots of different types of Acer - sycamore is also an Acer for example
