Ham on the bone
« on: November 06, 2009, 18:05 »
I have a very good butcher locally who does hams on the bone. At a cost of course.
I bought some as a treat to have with egg and chips. "THIS IS NOT SANDWICH HAM!" says I.
The teeneager has just owned up to nicking some to add to her pasta - hmmphh. But that's ok, it's "dinner" ham not "sandwich ham".  ::)
Then she tells me that she turned her back and Delilah cat nicked a slice!!!! Aaaargh!!

our village post office used to sell ham on the bone, home cured bacon, proper farm fresh free range eggs, and unpasteurised milk, cream and butter, people in the know used to come for miles to buy it, then some government health busy body put a stop to it, then they shut the post office altogether >:(

As a radio ham, may I say that the thread title made my eyes water.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Rubellite - if Delilah only made off with one slice, think yourself lucky.

My Betsy would have dragged the whole packet off...
