Did anyone try this?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/tv_and_radio/gardeners_world/seedtrials_chilli.shtml

I might have a go with all 3 next year just for fun, plus I have the following 10 different types to try as well, so I could be a mad old chilli man next year :D

Rocoto Red
Hot Banana
Aji Rojo
Habanero Orange
Tepin
Tabasco
Thai Bangkok Upright
Jalapeno
Purple Tiger
Scotch Bonnet Yellow

If you do decide to grow Habs and even the scotch Bonnet (Hab Family) dont grow with anything else, cross pollination will weaken both the flavour and heat, always grow them seperate. The others are not a problem, enjoy them if you decide to grow any.

Hi peeps.  I grew some hot chillies last year and they were not hot at all and I dug them up.  Should I have left them in longer to let the heat develop?  Please help, because we love our chillies in chez O'Brien.   :(

I grew some long slim Cayenne last year and got a good harvest from them. I also gave a plant to a friend who kept it in the window of his flat and he's told me it's still going strong now  8)

I've still got some of my cayenee's growing in the polytunnel that I got with Kitchen Garden mag last February.  I was tempted to buy some Dorset Naga as both my step sons reckong I can't find anything hot enough, but he youngest wimp (sorry step son) sliced 2 of my cayene's onto his pizza, and said it was so hot he couldn't eat it all!!!!! lololol
