Good shrub for windy coastal areas.
« on: October 24, 2018, 14:05 »
I bit the bullet and got a strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) and it's doing surprisingly well. It's planted in a wooden barrel which is on a slate chipping bed at the front of  our house and it gets winds from the east, south and west. Last year it had quite a few flowers but at the moment there are lots of them. Just thought that anyone wanting a shrub for those conditions might try it.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
