"Twigs" in corner of new plot
« on: March 26, 2018, 16:05 »
Hi chaps, recently taken over an allotment, a bit of weeding to do but not too bad, however, in one corner there are a load of dead twigs, someone said they might be fruit 'canes' ... I'm not interested in fruit but wouldn't want to destroy something worth keeping ... can I cut them back and throw a load of topsoil over them and leave them to possibly come up again ? ... maybe I'll take a picture tomorrow.

Good chance they are fruit canes (probably raspberries, if only because they're probably the most commonly grown cane fruit.)

The only way to find out is to let them grow rather than burying them, although if you're not interested in fruit...

A pic may help, as MoS has said.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
