Preserving Pan burnt

Help - we've burnt the preserving pan
We've tried leaving Bicarb of Soda and Vinegar in the pan overnight but no good

So before I resort to a phosphor bronze wire brush on an angle grinder, has anyone a suggestion to try first

What have you burnt on it?

Biological washing powder mixed into a wet paste and left to sit for a while is a good place to start.

A good lady chum always used a very strong salt solution.

Needs a few hours/days...

When I thought all was lost with mine, I slung it up the garden in disgust...
A few days later it was clean again, presumably the slugs had done the cleaning  ::)

So before you try anything really nasty on it, it's probably worth you trying the same thing.

A strong solution of washing powder simmered gently for an hour or so. If that fails rub it with some sand

Bio washing powder (or liquid) left to soak then start tackling the edges with a stainless steel scourer.....rinse and repeat.

I like the slug option though!
