I know its too hot to have the oven on, but OH really badly wants a roast of some description  ::)  Baked potatoes, roast chicken legs, sweetcorn and french beans on the way, the back door is open and I'm staying out of the kitchen as much as I can

Looks like we have all been dieting again   :nowink:

I was late in yesterday, so it was snack time again, but hm pizza on Wednesday with the first of my Trinidad Perfume peppers.  These have the fruitiness of a scotch bonnet, but just a gentle heat, rather than the usual blow your head off spice.

They were sliced and laid onto tomato sauce and mozzarella toppings - very nice  :)

No - just ashamed of just stirring snasbods own brand pesto into snasbods own brand pasta every night.

... go on guess what's for dinner tonight.  ::)

Nuffin' wrong with pesto and pasta  ;)

If you chuck some frozen peas in a colander, then drain the pasta over them, they defrost instantly and taste really fresh in the finished bowlful.  One of your five a day as well.

Good idea!  Would help OH when I am away.  Which I have been ....

Returned via the Wing Yip in B/ham so resupplied for things chinese/thai/indian and all points south east asian.  That shop is the only thing i miss about commuting into B/ham each day.   Mind you, it gets more mainstream each time I go but not less varied.

So I raided the freezer cabinet for chinese chilli beef, and added rice and stir fried veg when I got home ... oh, and prawn crackers.  Easy, so why did we still end up eating late?    ::)

Tonight I need to make space in the freezer for beans ....  There is a bag of oven chips from earlier in the summer taking up a lot of space so that might be the start.  Or the pack of pittas as this could be the last bbq chance ... Decisions, decisions!

Huge chilli with HG spagna bianco beans, peppers, chilli, tomatoes, shallots and garlic (plus kidney beans and mince from the co op  :D) on top of a PJ jacket potato. HG salad on the side.
+ 4 more portions for the freezer
It's great when it's harvest time!

An 'escaped' (how do they hide so effectively when they are bright yellow?) courgette has come up from the plot - I think I better stuff it with mince of some sort and bake on buttered pots for tonight, with runners on the side.

Snowdrop inspired ...

General Tso's spicy chicken wings (in slow cooker), stir fried veg (courgette, carrot, radish, pepper ... anything else I can lay my hands on), rice.
