Win a Fruit Press & Crusher – Worth £315!!!
« on: November 16, 2015, 13:37 »
We are running a fantastic competition this month for you all, to win a Cross-Beam Fruit Press (12l), Crusher, and Straining Bag, from our partners at Harrod Horticulture worth £315!

This is such a fantastic prize we thought it worthy of a bit of a treasure hunt. Until the end of the month we will be running an online treasure hunt across the whole allotment-garden.org site. There will be 7 clues, and on 7 pages around the site you will find the picture below and a word or phrase.

Each day for the first week a new clue will be released. Although the pictures will be there until the competition closes so if you scour the site you can find them even without the clues! The second week we will keep the competition open and the full list of clues here for those who want to catch up and enter. The 7 words and phrases make up a sentence, which you then need to send in to competitions@allotment-garden.org along with your name, age and address. The winner will be randomly picked at the end of the competition from the correct answers.

The competition opens on 17th November 2015 and will close on 30th November 2015. The winner will be drawn on 1st  December 2015 and announced on our site, forums, Facebook and Twitter.

The clues will be simple, and all you need to use is the on site search tool and main sections to find your answers. Just in case any one gets lost along the way though, we will be keeping an active thread on here for those carrying out the treasure hunt to share hints and tips.

Clue 7 - Last but not least!

Ann only has a small garden to work with, and has decided to try square foot gardening using raised beds. This means she needs to buy herself a raised bed kit.

Best of luck and good hunting!

We had nearly a hundred entries for the competition, 85 of which were correct. These were then numbered in order of receipt and we used random.org to generate a number between 1 and 85 inclusive. Number 78 was the winner, so congratulations to David Ward from Derby

The answer was HOMEGROWN FRUIT VEGETABLES & HERBS ON YOUR ALLOTMENT GARDEN & IN SMALL SPACES
