Hi Dan

In what way do you mean add to your home made compost?  What ingredients to add to the compost heap?  Or do you mean completed compost?
This is my Allotment, There are many like it, but this one is mine. Without my Allotment I am nothing, without me, my Allotment is nothing

A lot of people tend to add blood fish and bone, but it would depend on what you intend to grow in it as to what you may add.

I put my hm compost on the veg beds, usually in the Autumn (but one lot around the end of August when another bin is 'ready' where the Autumn Onions will planted) and don't add anything to it per se.

BFB then goes in the bed about two weeks before sowing or planting out, and chicken manure pellets if extra nitrogen is needed ie for brassicas or salad greens. I have quite limy soil so rarely need to add extra lime at the moment.
