marrows
« on: July 31, 2012, 11:15 »
Not sure what type i am growing

Last week with that sun i got 1 whopper of a marrow which was lovely to eat  :tongue2:
But same as last year,After 1 lovely marrow all the others which start growing seem to just die off ?
Is more than 1 marrow growing on one plant too much for it ?
It seems to put all the energy into 1 and lets the others die lol

Last year i grew dwarf ones and same happened to them.

The flowers have to get pollinated to grow. Try hand pollinating the flowers if there aren't many buzzies about ;)

I done the hand pollinating weeks ago now.
I get 1 marrow to eat.
And lots of other  marrows start growing but seem to fizzle out & die.
