Flower Bucket Clear Plastic, Fleece or Netting frame

Last night I got inventive with the a couple of flower buckets and the soldering iron. The top has been made into a framework to support fleece or debris netting. Holes have been melted at 1/4 points around both rims so that they can be cable tied together. There is a mark burnt on the rims of both buckets so that the holes line up.

One could just use the top straight on the ground using galvanised tent pegs to hold the bucket in place.

Ideal for warding off carrot or onion flies, and keeping the foxes and squirrels at bay.

Thank you both.

I'm now thinking of doing the same kind of thing with a seed tray to create a framework to hold off fleece from seedlings in the greenhouse.

Last year I wired small canes (12-15 ins) to the corners of blue mesh type mushroom boxes, so I could put netting over a collection of them.

Room for seed trays or small pots inside each tray  ;)

I find mine dumped out the back of the Chinese takeaway

They need a good scrub, but I don't mind doing that  ;)

They look really good, might try my hand at that, or the mesh box version to see if that can thwart the jackdaws.

Have you got a fruit&veg market near you? I get mine from stall-holders - they think I'm a bit weird...

I am very Mapp&Lucia and launch off round the market with my shopping basket on the weekends... :D
They bin the boxes, so asking for them is usually ok.
