A cammon?
I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. We had nothing but trouble with the gearbox on ours. >:(

As I said previously, I look at every machine with a view to what will go wrong with it! I really do hope it is the bargain it looks, you never know, I might end up getting one myself if it is......

hello.

well my chinese rotavator has jus come.

i will just run you over a few things .

i opened the box to find the rotavator bolted into a steen angle iron frame.
just took all the loose items out, handle bars wheels and rotas, the rotas are not thin steel like expected, very impressed.

the rota cover that fits at the back is also of a  good thickness steel and is heavy, much better quality and build than that of my trusty.

there is not a single mark or scratch on the machine at all, and there is a good detailed booklet with it including all smanners needed to build it up.

will post more info as i get it built

thanks

nathan
2 allotments, long standing back problem, am i mad?

all built now,

very shocked to say it went together like a quality jigsaw puzzle, handlebars, rotas and rota cover fitted like a glove and its a sturdy bit of kit.

oil in and petrol, first pull and started without holding back it runs lovely and smooth so far im shocked, expected a few pulls and a puff or smoke    nothing .

the wheels are a bit odd tho i thought, theres a pin that go's through the wheels and through the shaft and thats in powered wheel mode, to free-wheel etc for storage i guess the pin comes out the wheels push back and the pin go's back in through the shaft to hold them on again.

works well tho.

next step is to get it on some land and try it

I've got a perfectly good "Rally" front tine rtv, but I do get a bit cheesed of with the continual "bucking bronco" effect! (i'm a bit long in the tooth)

I have been looking at these ones since they first appeared on ebay, but have never seen any real feedback........till now, and it appears encouraging, one brilliant feedback, and one to come from "2veg"

I did email one seller as to wether I could pick it up, saving costs, got a very pleasnt email back, saying I would be most welcome to visit and collect at their warehouse, which turns out to be only 20 miles from me.......I feel my credit card getting warm ;)

Mostly organic...

morning,

just made a bumper bar type device for the front of the rotavator so the engine has some protection when its loaded and tied into the trailer

I noticed there are some holes in the front of the chassis, wondered if they are to fit a bumper bar....

Could you tell me the length from the extreme front, to the extreme back of the machine......as if its more than 4 ft I will have to make a slight mod to my trailer......thanks

BTW this morning I bought two new tyres for my old "Discovery".......been searching in vain for good used ones, as I don't do many miles, anyway the best deal I could get were two "Runway Enduros" £65 each fitted..........yep, chinese!  :)

Here's mine!.........bought it of ebay just before midnight last saturday (was the only bidder) at the start price, total with delivery £350.98.......arrived today at lunchtime

A damned heavy carton, that!.........open it up, note the metal frame the rtv is sitting in

I was by myself, and after undoing a couple of bolts I still couldn't wangle it out the frame, so the hacksaw came into use!
It all went together well, apart from neigbours strolling by and enquiring about this new gizmo.........just got the rotor shield  to put on, then oil and petrol .......least its starting to look the part!  ;)
