Newly Planted Lily Pots
« on: April 24, 2017, 20:12 »
Should I bring them in tonight to protect from the frost?

I've never grown them in pots before - I know they would be safe underground, but in pots *puzzled*

I think if they are up against the house wall or maybe in the greenhouse they should be ok, I have some seedling lilies that have been out in modules all winter, they've sprung into growth again fine.

Mine stay outside all year round and seem to manage perfectly well, although remember we live in Reading: may not be true for anyone "northern"

Hi Mumofstig

Coming from the colder northern climate of the North East mine are left in pots and in the garden all year round without problem apart from protecting against slugs, pigeons :D
:D I garden therefore I am
