Know yer onions...

Ok, I bought a load of onion sets earlier in the year and, due to underestimating the amount of work there was to do, being rather forgetful and - frankly - not getting round to it, they never got planted.

They have been kept in a cardboard box in the shed; some have sprouted a bit, some haven't.

Obviously far too late now, but will they be viable if I plant them in October?

I doubt it very much.

The ones that haven't sprouted may have just dried up completely.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
