Rocket salad started to flower

Hi all,

please help my rocket has started to flower, am I supposed to cut these off? and keep it trimmed?

The flowers indicate that it is bolting. You won't stop this process once it has started, so eat what leaves you can soon and you will probably have to start again by sowing more seeds.

You can eat the flowers though (not to everyone's taste but I quite like them in small quantities!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

mine has too. At first tried to nip flower stems out but other posters are right it is now inevitable.

I can't grow it from packet seed so will let it self seed where it is. In the past I have grown it through the winter from summer bought plants. So hope the new seedlings will establish over next few months and provide rocket right through til next spring. ;)

Floers are quite pretty and can eat the leaves that come.

The flowers are quite tasty actually. I think the tasty bit is the swollen bit behind the flower. Quite peppery  :)
