Morning Miggs and all.

5.30 is my usual time for getting up .... the sun, skylight window and bed are all in perfect(?) alignment for blinding me with the rising sunshine. The bacon butty sounds a good idea.

Hoping to make some progress in the plot today

Have fun at the plot today. I have been everyday after work this week, done so much work to get it looking as good as it does. There is not a weed in sight, the paths are all strimmed. looking good at the moment. I might just pop down later to water everything as it's not rained for ages now. Really need some rain.

PS: Well that's the car now washed and the front garden tidied up and hoed. What's next.

Pleased to see you are all coping well with the early mornings....

My sleep pattern is slowly changing - more early nights (before 2am) and less very early mornings so rarely dropping in during the small hours to see how everyone is.

Enjoy the brighter mornings - I love them but they fail to wake me once I'm asleep.....nothing much does!

Hopefully, given that you've washed the car, rain will be next ... !!

Rain due here tomorrow - a rarity.... and guess who has to be up and out tomorrow on the bike.  ::)

The wabbit has an appointment with the vet for his fortnightly teeth filing so my taxi services are required along with the use of the cycle trailer.

It'll be an earlier than usual morning for me... lots to do before we set off.

As I have been up for a few hours now, thought I would see who else is up. Morning all.

I know what you mean, but sadly we never got any rain until Friday just gone. The plot was desperate for it.

Morning all. So glad I planted out my Tom's yesterday as it rained overnight.
What are we all up to today?

Morning miggs  :)

I'm off to the plot in a bit to plant out sweetcorn, cabbage and anything else I can find that is ready to go.  The cold frame needs to be emptied so I can shuttle the next lot out of the greenhouse.

We've gone from one extreme to the other - late start to mad catch-up.  I reckon I won't be the only one madly planting out today

We've had some gorgeous very early morning skies recently. The day before yesterday the sunrise was stunning and yesterday morning, before the first of the daylight appeared, the sky was split in two by an oncoming weather front. A black mound of cloud scrapped the ground rising halfway up across the sky like a solid lump of blue-black coal. Above it the sky was clear and the deepest blue with one lone star-spot of twinkling light.... as Skylab trundled across the heavens....then gradually the sun lightened the sky.

Don't you just love cool summer mornings engulfed in quiet?

Well not early for some but I seem to be surfacing about 7 most days again, it’s taken a long time but I feel better for it. Now just to get some jobs done

What on earth has happened here? Have the hinges rusted and the door seized up?

I wander off for a wee while to do.... to go and do.. Ok so I can't remember what it was I wandered off to do but I'm bound to have done it by now and then...…

……. I arrive back for a cuppa but, not only no kettle whistle, the rest of you have toddled off as well!

I'll put the kettle on and hope that someone might drop by with the biscuits (or a cheese sarnie).

Anyone joing me or are you all too busy?
Here's hoping..

Morning all,

Looks like we could be in for the first dry day since last weekend, it seems almost summery outside (well, the sun's out at least)

Same here Roger, thought perhaps we’d seen the last of the sun for the summer!
